Stephen retired from full time stipendiary ministry in 2016 after serving as a Vicar in the Cotswolds, a Team Rector in Cheltenham and finishing as Community Canon at Gloucester Cathedral. He is always delighted to take services at St John’s and other churches in the team.
Before ordination Stephen worked for 15 years in management with ITV. He loves his garden, especially growing clematis. He loves everything connected with railways and has built a large model railway at home. He enjoys sport, is a member of Oake Manor Golf Club and still follows the fortunes of the football team of his place of birth, Wolverhampton Wanderers. Stephen enjoys reading, art and architecture and music, especially the music of Bach. He loves walking on the Quantocks and finds time and space for silence and contemplative prayer. Stephen lives in Wellington and has two cats, one a prophet (Samuel) and the other a King (Arthur)
