Colin Simpson grew up in the west of London and was the 4th of 5 children with three older sisters and a younger brother. He met his wife Sandie in 1983, married in 1985 and they have two children - now grown-up; Serena a veterinary nurse and William a painter and decorator. His interests include monasticism, the interaction between faith and society, the theology of disability and inclusion, and how priesthood needs to develop as the needs of society and our congregations change. He is fascinated by stories and how they can help us tell the truth, particularly sagas and longer stories. He likes fly fishing, hillwalking and using his practical skills in mechanics and DIY. He enjoyes gardening and growing vegetables and the many varieties of fruit growing in the rectory gardem.
