I live in a village on the Somerset Levels where I have lived all of my life. I have been the Parish Administrator and PA to the Rector since 2015 when I joined St John’s after several years spent at home bringing up my now grown-up daughter. Before this, I worked as a Customer Account Manager in the publishing industry.
During my time as a stay-at-home mum, I studied for a degree at the Open University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Humanities with History in 2017.
In my spare time, I like to go on long walks in the countryside with my dog Lola and my husband and we enjoy weekends away and day trips to Devon and Cornwall. I also like to find time to sit down with a good book when I can, in particular, historical fiction. My favourite weekend treat is a nice cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc whilst either relaxing at home or socialising with friends.
My job at St John’s has changed a lot over the years and I’m constantly learning new things. It’s an interesting and rewarding job and no one day is ever the same!
